Welcome to My World Rukia Sheppard

Ruks Beauty has got your back, No worries, that’s why we are here! As we look toward fall and winter, and for some, protective style season, this is the perfect time to stock up on the most powerful herbs for hair growth. Ruks Beauty aims to help as many people adopt holistic practices that provide optimal hair health, increase shine, and establish a moisture and strength balance to fight against excessive shedding, breakage, and damage most especially during winter sessions.

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is one of the most ancient and comprehensive systems of health care known to humanity. It is truly a science of life that tells us how to improve the quality and length of human life.

There is a special branch of treatment within Ayurveda called Rasayana, or rejuvenation, which promotes longevity.

When we use the word longevity in the West, we generally mean extending life, growing old gracefully, and staying healthy. We often measure longevity in terms of years lived—80, 90, or 100 years.

To reach this goal, there may be rigid diets to follow and many herbs and supplements to swallow. Stress management techniques, exercise, and yoga are surely a part of the current longevity mix. However, while most people feel better following this path, few are able to stick with it for long because of its restrictive and time-intensive nature.

In preparation for the winter session, Ruks Beauty would share the importance of Ayurvedic Herbs to hair and why it is considered the fastest hair growth herb.

Growth Hair Like Never Before: Top Ayurvedic Herbs For Faster Hair Growth.

Most of our Ayurvedic hair products contain a hundred percent natural hair growth products listed in the Ayurvedic herb family, which help to eliminate most people's hair concerns during the winter sessions.

Unless you are facing internal hormonal or medical issues, we want to make it clear that all of our hair grows. In fact, on average, we grow half an inch a month. Although our hair is always growing, many of us struggle with length retention, retaining the length at the ends of our hair. And that’s where Ayurvedic herbs come in!

Here are our top picks, in no particular order.

Henna

The lawsone dye found in henna, not only dyes the hair a rich red tone over time, but it also builds itself on the cuticle layer of the hair strand, strengthening and fortifying the hair to promote length retention. It helps to thicken even the finest and most fragile hair strands, reduce split ends, and eliminate dandruff on the scalp. For the most color payoff, in our humble and professional opinion, we recommend Red Raj which is also organically certified. Unlike many other henna powders on the market, ours is free of grit and large particles, making it much easier to apply and rinse out.

Amla

Amla is an Ayurvedic powerhouse! There have been several studies conducted over the years that have found that amla increases hair growth, reduces hair fall, and improves hair’s appearance and health, among other benefits. Amla is the first herb we recommend to customers who are new to Ayurveda because of how gentle and effective amla is on even the driest hair types. Regardless of your texture, our amla conditions the hair, adds incredible shine and creates thicker, stronger hair strands. Try mixing amla with henna to add some conditioning properties, while also toning down the red tones and combating the loosening of curls that some people experience after years of using henna in a healthy haircare regimen. We also recommend that you try our amla oil which is mineral oil-free and does not contain other ingredients that we tend to stay away from in the natural hair community.

Fenugreek

You can't say slip, without the herb fenugreek! This miracle herb creates mucilage that allows you to effortlessly detangle tangled and matted hair. Once hair is tangle-free and moisturized, it is able to retain as much length as possible. Not only can you use fenugreek in a mask, but it can also be infused in water or aloe vera juice as a hair tea or hair growth spritz. Try infusing it in any carrier oil like camellia, olive, or avocado, and apply it directly to the scalp or use it as hot oil treatment or sealing oil. If you’re too lazy to infuse your own oil, try our very new Ayurvedic Oil which is infused with fenugreek, as well as nine other powerful herbs, including Henna, Shikakai, and Brahmi.

Aloe

Created by dehydrating the beloved aloe vera plant, aloe powder packs the same benefits for treating scalp irritations, providing tons of moisture, and promoting hair growth. When added to henna, amla, or any other ayurvedic herb, it immediately increases the conditioning ability of any treatment. Therefore, we especially recommend this herb for people with dry hair.

Obviously, when it comes to hair Goodness, the list is endless Ayurvedic herbs family. Feel free to try some of the products listed above this winter. Let us know what is your favorite herb for hair growth and the ones are you excited to try.
